Sea and Debris

I created this piece around 3 years ago based on the project i was set which was Sea and Debris. i created a piece inspired by Maggi Hambling an artist that makes paintings and sculptures of shell's and waves: Maggi Hambling

This piece was made using:

Chicken wire
Modroc
acrylic paint
white silky material
and a large canvase

For me this was the largest scale i had worked on and i found it great to have so much space to work with. i enjoyed creating this piece but it had to be created within a certain time frame which was 10 hours. i enjoyed creating this piece and i submitted it as my final piece for for my course.

This piece eventually was displayed in an open exhibition at my old school amongst other peers work. the exhibition was quite successful as many people came to view the pieces and did have the option to purchase them. The school i was with at the time bourght this piece from me and it is displayed there in a corridoor with other pieces from other students.
